About the role:
Mercy Community are seeking passionate and experienced Support Workers (Casual role) who will work alongside our participant/s in Brisbane North (location of work outlined below):
- In-home supports - short shifts (Everton Park, Bowen Hills, Lutwyche, Chermside, Scarborough)
- SIL - sleepover shifts (Wooloowin, Nudgee)
The position available is paid at Level 2 (depending on experience) of the SCHADS award (Casual rate is $40.26) + 11% Super + Salary Packaging.
About the role:
As the successful candidate, you will be able to support our participants with the following (not limited to):
- Experience deescalating behaviours and/or an understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBSP).
- Provide personal care assistance, manual handling/hoisting, domestic supports and community access.
- Highly desired skills - Catheter care, wheelchair assistance, epilepsy management.
- Skilled in providing medication administration - highly desired skills.
- Being flexible and committed to all shifts through the week and weekends (sleepovers, short shifts, AM, PM and evening).
About you:
- Completed or studying towards a Certificate III or higher in a related field (i.e. Certificate III Individual Support etc).
- Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (or willing to apply).
- Hold a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to apply).
- Hold a current QLD Drivers Licence and have your own vehicle (mandatory requirement).
