Family Response Facilitator

About the Role

Our Family and Child Connect program has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate Family Response Facilitator to join the team. This is a Permanent, Full-time position located in Townsville. This position provides quality service delivery to children, young people, families and the community within the Family and Child Connect Service (FaCC).

$82,044 - $88,288 annually (award) plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available

What you’ll be doing

• Assess information provided in a referral, engage with families with multiple and high-level needs and provide resources
• Engage with families with multiple and high-level needs and provide resources, information and advice regarding appropriate community support options
• Complete referrals out to appropriate services
• Provide services to the wider Townsville region and beyond, the Family and Child Connect team
• Engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families in our communities

About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess:

• Degree in Child Protection, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related discipline from a recognised institution

• Previous experience working effectively across a range of service providers, both government and non-government, to negotiate high quality service provision to families who have complex issues

• Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence

• A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required

• Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement, unless applicable exemption provided as per the relevant MC procedure
