As our new Personal Care Assistant, working across our three Rockhampton sites, you will be responsible for assisting our residents in their daily activities, ensuring the best possible care, wellbeing and comfort. 

 

$28.27 - $30.11 per hour plus penalties plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available depending on experience 

 

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining a friendly homelike environment where residents are encouraged to engage in activities of their choice
  • Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of equipment, with an emphasis on resident comfort and safety
  • Assisting with all aspects of personal hygiene – showering, continence, bedding, and clothing
  • Actively monitoring residents’ condition and report any changes in condition or behaviour to the Registered Nurse

 

About you:

  • Believe in the importance of developing strong human connections and providing quality care to residents
  • Certificate III in Individualised Support – Aged Care
  • High level of interpersonal, customer service and conflict resolution skills as well as flexibility
  • Ability to follow written instructions, comprehend care plans, and record accurate progress notes
