As a motivated and passionate Personal Care Assistant, you will be assisting residents in their daily activities, delivering the best possible care, ensuring wellbeing, comfort and the best possible care. 

 

$ 30.11 per hour plus penalties plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available 

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Assisting residents in their daily activities, delivering the best possible care, ensuring wellbeing and comfort
  • Maintaining a friendly homelike environment where residents are encouraged to engage in activities of their choice
  • Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of equipment, with an emphasis on resident comfort and safety 
  • Aspects of personal hygiene – showering, continence, bedding, and clothing
  • Observing, reporting, and responding to all changes in resident health and wellbeing including maintaining accurate, factual, and thorough progress notes
  • Ensuring resident requests are attended to within the scope of their care plan and ensuring all complaints are resolved reported to the Care and Service Manager

 

About you:

  • Certificate III in Individualised Support – Aged Care
  • High level of interpersonal, customer service and conflict resolution skills as well as flexibility
  • Ability to follow written instructions, comprehend care plans, and record accurate progress notes
  • Able to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster

We work in partnership with the Australian College of Nursing to deliver their free Aged Care Transition to Practice program to all Graduate Nurses.  As a successful applicant to this course, you are eligible to nine paid study days, this course articulates into points towards a Graduate Diploma and/or Master’s Degree.
