About the role
Mercy Community Services are on the search for 2x Finance Business Partner to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. This role will be based at our Nudgee corporate office.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic financial management and operational decision support. This includes delivering accurate and insightful management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, performing detailed variance analysis to guide strategic planning, enhancing and streamlining financial accounting processes, supporting the planning and implementation of financial systems, and leading process improvements to optimise business outcomes and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available
This role entails but not limited to -
- Deliver monthly management reports. Monitor business performance against KPI’s and providing guidance and support to key stakeholders on focus areas to improve performance.
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly Board Report.
- Partnering with key stakeholders within finance and operations to obtain insights for variance analysis and reforecasting.
- Leading the annual budget process in collaboration with the other Finance Business Partners and relevant stakeholders.
- Completion of key Balance Sheet reconciliations adhering to the Finance team month end timetable.
- Support year-end audit procedures and address auditor queries.
- Maintain accurate accounting documentation to meet audit requirements.
- Ad hoc analysis and support to key stakeholders to assist with making business decisions.
- Preparation and submission of quarterly and annual financial reporting and grant acquittals (such as the Annual/Quarterly Financial Report for Residential aged care service providers).
- Assistance with ad hoc audits and reviews (such as prudential audits).
- Prepare benchmark and KPI reporting. Assist with scoping/ maintaining Power BI Dashboards for self-service.
- Participate in the continuous improvement in finance processes.
- Ad hoc tasks as required by the Finance Manager or Head of Finance.
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- CPA / CA qualification
- Tertiary degree in accounting or other finance related field
- Demonstrated experience of at least 3 years in accounting or finance related field
