We are seeking a Pastoral Care Coordinator– Nudgee Aged Care

We welcome applicants from pastoral, chaplaincy, counselling or community backgrounds who have a heart for supporting older people and families.

We are looking for someone who can listen deeply, bring comfort and connection and support residents spiritual and emotional wellbeing.

About the Role

As part of our Pastoral Care team, you will:
Provide one-on-one emotional and spiritual support to residents and families
Support residents and families through palliative and end-of-life care
Coordinate farewells and memorials that honour resident's lives
Work closely with nurses, care staff and volunteers to deliver holistic care
This role supports the mission of Mercy Community and welcomes people of all faiths who share our values of compassion, dignity, integrity and empowerment.

About You

Experience in pastoral care, chaplaincy or community support roles
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to obtain all legislatively required personal history screening
Qualification in pastoral care, theology or counselling
