About the role
Mercy Community Aged Care Services are on the search for an experienced Facility Manager to lead our team in Nudgee. This is a full-time permanent position.
Not only will you be responsible for leading the Aged Care Management team to build and maintain delivery of high-quality aged care services, but you will also be instrumental in the implementation of a range of workforce initiatives designed to support, develop, and engage staff.

What you’ll be doing
As Facility Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure services meet targets per funding agreements/budgets, report to funding bodies, and promptly identify risks for the General Manager
- Oversee financial results and budget variances, lead projects to improve financial performance, monitor service levels, funding deliverables, standards, and client satisfaction; proactively address issues or service gaps
- Efficiently deploy resources to maintain high service standards, sustainability, and growth for Mercy Community
- Collaborate with management, staff, and volunteers to deliver high-quality services.
- Implement person-centered care, ensuring compliance with clinical standards and accreditation requirements
- Provide leadership and oversight for client service delivery
- Build and maintain community relationships, advocating for service recipients and maximizing occupancy where possible
- Promptly resolve client and stakeholder complaints and incidents
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Nursing and/or Health Management
- Proven experience in leading high-quality aged care services, driving process, systems, and behaviour change in a complex and dynamic environment
- Strong knowledge in specialist Dementia Care and Palliative Care
- Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary aged care, including funding systems, the Aged Care Act 2024 and Accreditation Standards
- Strong management skills in financial, human resources, risk, compliance, and quality
- Exceptional customer and stakeholder management skills
- Tertiary qualifications in business (highly advantageous)
- Membership of a recognised professional association, e.g. AHPRA (highly advantageous)
