HR Coordinator - Support

The Role

Mercy Community Services is seeking a HR Coordinator to join our People & Culture team based in Nudgee. This is a permanent full-time position. This role is central to keeping day to day people administration running smoothly across the organisation. You will coordinate employment changes, prepare documentation, maintain data integrity and act as a key contact for HR queries from employees and leaders. The position suits someone who thrives on detail, enjoys working with systems and takes pride in making sure processes are completed accurately and on time. You will be part of a supportive team and play an important role in delivering consistent and reliable service to the business.

 

Salary: $80,000 per year, plus superannuation and access to salary packaging.

Key responsibilities

  • Process employee change requests including remuneration, hours, position or manager updates
  • Prepare employment contracts, variations and related documentation
  • Coordinate organisational and position structure updates within systems
  • Manage change alerts and ensure downstream stakeholders receive accurate information
  • Administer cessations including calculations, notifications and record updates
  • Prepare letters and correspondence such as statements of service, jury duty confirmations, parental leave and casual employment documentation
  • Maintain employee files and ensure documentation is stored correctly
  • Provide timely responses to HR enquiries, escalating matters where required
  • Support reporting requirements and assist with data preparation for leaders and payroll
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of templates and processes
  • Assist with general administrative support for the People & Culture function

About you

  • Experience in an HR administration, coordination or people support role
  • Strong working knowledge of HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to manage high volumes of transactions and competing deadlines
  • A customer service mindset with confidence supporting employees and leaders
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound judgement and the ability to maintain confidentiality
