Clinical Nurse - Nudgee

Mercy Community Aged Care Services is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team on a Permanent Full-time basis based in our Residential Aged Care service in Nudgee working Monday - Friday 10am-6pm.

About your role:

The Clinical Nurse will perform competency reviews and assessments whilst supporting ongoing planning and evaluation of individual care and service. With a focus on person centred care, this role you will:

  • Provide clinical support to the care and service team, ensuring a high standard of service is maintained for residents.
  • Coordinate and monitor the planning, implementation and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards.
  • Provide leadership and support to team members, assisting with orientation of new members, identifying learning needs and providing training and development.
  • Comply with Infection Control practices and ensure adherence by all care and service team members.
  • Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiative

About you:

You are a Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and comprehensive knowledge and experience in clinical care. You’ll present with:

  • Expertise in at least one specialist clinical area e.g. continence, palliation, behavior management, wound care etc.
  • Experience in evaluating workplace practices against accreditation standards, quality systems and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a safe clinical environment
  • Detailed working knowledge of the Aged Care legislation and principles.
