About the role
Mercy Community has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our People and Culture Team on a permanent full-time basis at our corporate office in Nudgee.
Reporting to the Head of People and Culture the position is responsible for partnering closely with the Mercy Community leaders to deliver HR support. Working across all aspects of the employee lifecycle, you will coach and assist leaders in effective people leadership. This includes providing positive and proactive advice regarding the resolution of workplace and employee disputes and grievances. Additionally, through the provision of workforce insights and initiatives, you will work closely with leaders to understand business challenges and priorities and translate business needs into HR initiatives. You will also implement the strategic workforce plan and the people lifecycle within your remits
Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation and generous salary packaging available.
This role involves but not limited to -
- Coaching and assisting leaders, providing HR strategic, advisory, and operational support to managers and employees across the employment life cycle.
- Implementation and coaching of leaders in all elements of the annual people cycle including performance, remuneration, etc.
- Implementation of the strategic people plan.
- Translating business priorities into HR initiatives where necessary
- Assisting leaders with people support and projects on key business initiatives.
- Support management and employees in the interpretation of and adherence to applicable industrial instruments, policies procedures and processes, and best practice.
- Support and guide managers to undertake consistent and appropriate performance management processes to promote a high-performance culture and manage underperformance.
- Undertake effective case management of employee relations matters.
- Contribute to the review and development of people related policies, procedures, practices, and processes, ensuring alignment to legislative requirements and best practice.
- Support leaders with change initiatives as required including planning and communications incorporating the full people impact of changes.
- Support leaders to promote a constructive culture aligned with organisational values.
- Identify people-related risks and support mitigation strategies in partnership with leaders and People & Culture and Legal, Risk and Compliance.
- Work collaboratively with the broader People & Culture team to deliver consistent, high-quality services.
- Support continuous improvement of people processes, systems and service delivery.
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources
- Significant experience in a similar role
- Proven ability to interpret and apply a range of industrial agreements, providing advice to management and employees using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to partner with the business on HR strategic initiatives.
- Ability to coach leaders on all aspects of the employee lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
