Financial Accountant - Nudgee

About the role 

Are you ready to help reshape the future of finance? We're looking for a Financial Accountant who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about driving transformation across finance operations.

 We are a not-for-profit organisation recruiting for a Financial Accountant to start as soon as possible on a Permanent Full-time basis. This role will be based on the Brisbane North side with Working-From-Home opportunity (3 days minimum in office is required).

 Key responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations to maintain integrity of financial data
• Fixed assets maintenance, including asset register updates, depreciation schedules, and capitalisation reviews with records.
• Apply technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance, accuracy, and insight in financial reporting
• Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement to ensure accurate data and reporting.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors and stakeholders

 About you:

• CPA or CA qualified
• Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Senior Finance Accountant or similar role
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Proven experience in financial accounting, with strong knowledge of technical accounting standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—you're a connector and a problem-solver
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools (ERP, reporting platforms, automation tools)
• Experience in finance transformation or process improvement projects
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
