Finance Performance Analyst

We're looking for a Finance Performance Analyst who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about supporting growth and innovation across finance operations. You will be instrumental in assisting our growing Aged Care stream with month-end processes.12-month maternity cover.

 

Key Responsibilities of this role:

  • Prepare and analyse financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and prepare month end journals (such as accruals).
  • Provide timely insights and commentary on budget performance, trends, and emerging financial risks.
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to develop and manage their budgets, monitor expenditure, and optimise resource allocation.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide support to the Finance Business Partners for prudential compliance reporting, Stewart Brown reporting and program acquittals.
  • Provide general finance function support as may be required.
  • Other tasks as required by the Senior Finance Manager and Head of Finance.

 

About You…

To be successful in the role you will hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field and be studying towards your CA/CPA. You will have 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role.

While not essential, relevant experience in the Aged Care and/or Retirement Living and/or Not for Profit sector would be favourable. 

You will be an analytical thinker with natural problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail.  You will need the ability to explain financial information to front line managers, so strong interpersonal and communications skills are a must.  Exposure to Technology One CIA will be advantageous, along with intermediate Microsoft skills.
