About the role
Mercy Community is seeking friendly and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team at the Nudgee Residential Aged Care Facility.
You’ll be part of a supportive hospitality team helping to prepare and serve nutritious meals and create a welcoming dining experience for our residents. Shifts range from 6:30 am – 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
What you’ll do
- Assist with the preparation, plating and delivery of meals, morning and afternoon teas and dinners
- Support residents during meal service with kindness and attention to their preferences
- Ensure special dietary needs are followed
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and dining environment
About you
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or aged care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Reliable, team-focused and passionate about supporting older people
- NDIS yellow card or a valid police check is a mandatory requirement.
- Willingness to undertake a food safety course (Any new course fees are paid by Mercy Community).
