About the role
Mercy is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor to play a vital role in ensuring our facilities remain safe, welcoming, and well-maintained for the people we support. This permanent, full-time role is perfect for someone who wants to move away from highly physical, hands-on work and step into a more balanced position.
This position is responsible for management and coordination of the regular and preventative maintenance of Facility buildings, plant and equipment and grounds as per the maintenance schedule.
Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available
What you’ll be doing
- Management and coordination of the regular and preventative maintenance of Facility buildings, plant and equipment and grounds as per the maintenance schedule
- Ensure services are meeting targets as outlined in funding agreements/budgets; undertake reporting to funding bodies as required and identify emergent risks to the General Manager in a timely manner
- Review staffing levels, scope of practice and rosters to maintain staffing within agreed budget parameters and appropriate benchmarks
- Responsible for monthly financial results and budget variances. Lead transformation projects required to address identified areas for improvement in financial performance
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- Ability to operationally manage contractors, maintenance schedules and maintain currency of relevant documentation and compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake non-trade qualified maintenance tasks and carry out regular and preventative maintenance on buildings, plant and equipment
- Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel
- Manual Queensland Provisional Green or above Drivers Licence
- Ability to obtain positive police check and any other legislatively required screening as required
