About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will manage a team responsible for delivering core transactional finance services. This role will see you overseeing day-to-day AP, AR, and treasury operations, supporting effective cashflow management, and ensuring strong financial controls. You will play a key role in driving process improvements, maintaining compliance, and providing high-quality support to both internal and external stakeholders. Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation and generous salary packaging available.
This role involves but not limited to -
- Lead and oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury functions to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient processing
- Manage daily cashflow requirements, including oversight of collections, supplier payments, and banking activities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, delegations of authority, and external reporting/taxation obligations
- Oversee reconciliations, aged debtors and creditors reporting, and resolution of discrepancies
- Provide accurate and timely transactional data to support financial reporting and forecasting
- Drive process improvement, automation, and system enhancements across transactional finance activities
- Develop, mentor, and lead the transactional services team to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
About you
To be successful, you will:
Essential
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards)
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in managing transactional finance teams (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue) in a mid to high volume transactional environment
- Prior experience working within Not-for-Profit or community services sector including knowledge of prudential compliance requirements under the Aged Care Act
- Strong knowledge of cashflow management and working capital cycles
- Experience leading and developing teams
- Excellent attention to detail, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Sound understanding of financial systems, internal controls, and process improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exposure to PRODA and government subsidy claim systems
