Mercy Community’s newest aged care building has officially opened at Bethany, Rockhampton. With the expansion of our modern, three-storey, 90-bed facility, we are now seeking Personal Care Attendants to join our team on a permanent part-time basis.
We are specifically looking for PCAs who are available to work night shifts only, from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM.
Our Personal Care Assistants are key team member’s to supporting our residents and our team. PCA’s support with assisting our residents to ensure they are living their best life. Our Aged Care Facilities are run 24 hours every day, to support our residents with their ongoing living needs. We treat each of our residents with Compassion, Dignity, Empathy, Integrity and Respect.
Each Facility is supported by an amazing team environment with an enthusiastic Training team to support your growth including a dedicated PCA onboarding process to support you, through your journey with our team. $30.74 – $32.15 per hour + superannuation + opportunity to increase your take-home via generous salary packaging
Some of the duties of a PCA include:
- Maintaining a friendly home environment where residents are encouraged to engage in activities of their choice
- Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of equipment, with an emphasis on resident comfort and safety
- Assisting with all aspects of personal hygiene – showering, continence, bedding and clothing
- Actively monitoring residents’ condition and report any changes in condition or behaviour to the Registered Nurse
