Local Level Alliance Facilitator (Toowoomba)

About the Role

Mercy Community have an opportunity for a passionate Local Level Alliance Facilitator. This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity based in our Toowoomba office. 

The role will raise awareness of the Family and Child Connect service within the community, support the integration of joint case management processes and support communication within a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families in our communities.

$85,126 - $91,588 (SCHADS L4) plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available

What you’ll be doing

As a Local Level Alliance (LLA) Facilitator, some of your key duties will include:

  • Develop, implement, and coordinate community outreach strategies
  • Provide the community development component of the Family and Child Connect service within the Local Level Alliance (LLA)
  • Undertake network mapping and raise awareness of service within the area
  • Collaborate to identify client needs and deliver high-quality services within available resources

As the successful candidate, you will possess:

  • Degree in Social Work, Community Development, Social Science or related discipline from a recognised institution
  • Previous experience within the community development and/or family support with a sound understanding of the Queensland child protections system
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and issues, with a commitment to respectful engagement and practices
  • Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence
  • Ability to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and any other legislatively required personal history screening as required
  • Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
