About the role

 Mercy Community is on the search for an experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. This role will be based at our Nudgee corporate office.

The Risk and Compliance Officer will assist the Head of Risk and Compliance to develop a robust risk and compliance culture framework at Mercy Community. This position supports the entire Mercy Community operations including Residential Aged Care, Family Services, Community Services and Corporate Office functions.

 Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation and generous salary packaging available.

 This role involves but not limited to -

  • Assisting the Head of Risk and Compliance with risk workshops, training and re-writing policies and procedures to develop a robust risk and compliance culture in the organisation
  • Conducting risk and control assessments to identify potential risk and compliance concerns
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to risk and compliance activities
  • Assisting with legislative compliance including monitoring alert mailboxes, managing obligations register and ensuring tasks are allocated and completed
  • Assisting with reporting, including to the Executive and Board and Board Sub-Committees

 About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of risk and compliance experience
  • Experience writing and implementing risk and compliance policies and procedures
  • Experience conducting risk and control assessments/audits and writing reports based on findings and recommended improvements
  • Experience in the implementation and management of continuous improvement cycle
  • Ideally, experience extracting and using reports from Riskman or similar GRC System.
