About the role
Mercy Community are on the search for a passionate Case Worker to join our Pathways for Early Learning & Development team in Lowood. This is a Permanent Part-time role working Monday to Wednesday, 8am-5pm each day. This is a great opportunity to work within a great team, guided by an enthusiastic Team Manager and Senior Program Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for quality service delivery to children, young people and families within the Pathways to Early Learning & Development (PELD) program. This position will work alongside the Early Childhood Practitioner to understand and support the broader needs of children and families participating in the program with the overall aim of strengthening resilience and parenting capability, whilst raising awareness of services and support available.
$43.08 per hour (SHCADS level 4) plus superannuation plus salary packaging available
This role involves but not limited to -
- Work collaboratively with your line manager to identify client needs and deliver appropriate services within available resources, continually assessing effectiveness and responding to changing needs and dynamics
- Support and provide opportunities for life and personal skill development for clients by role modelling expected behaviours
- Work collaboratively with the Early Childhood Practitioner in relation to each family’s individual circumstances
- Engage family members in respectful and just ways that promote dignity and self-determination
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess -
- Degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or related discipline from a recognised institution
- Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver’s License
- Current and valid Paid Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check) or ability to apply
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
