About the role
Mercy Community is on the search for an Assistant Business Support Officer to join our Families team in Lowood. This is a Permanent Part-time role for 36 hours a fortnight – hours being Monday to Friday 9.30am-1pm.
The Assistant Business Support Officer supports the delivery of the Mercy Lowood Services Australia Agent contract (Centrelink) and undertakes general administration. The role facilitates access to digital equipment and telephone support to community members accessing the Services Australia Agent Services through the Mercy Community Services Lowood Hub.
$25.41 - $27.17 per hour (depending on experience) plus superannuation plus salary packaging available
This role involves but is not limited to -
- Support clients to access Services Australia facilities as per the Services Australia guidelines
- Ensure statistical data is recorded accurately within the Services Australia Business portal on a daily basis
- Answer all incoming phone calls, and accurately notate any messages and distribute in a timely manner
- Assist in monitoring and managing office supplies, equipment and maintenance
- Assist in managing the post as required
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- Basic knowledge of administrative practices and procedures relevant to the workplace.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
- Current and valid Paid Blue Card (Queensland Working With Children Check) or ability to apply
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
