About the role
Mercy Community are on the search for Support Service Worker (Hospitality Assistants or Cleaning Assistants) to join our Residential Aged Care Facility based in Nudgee on a casual basis. You must be able to cover shifts ranging from 0630 to 1400 or short shifts in the afternoon 1430 to 1830.
This position is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of Support Services including across hospitality and support services to ensure high quality resident care and support within Mercy Community Aged Care Services. Our Nudgee Residential Aged Care Facility is guided by our fabulous and well experienced Facility Manager and Clinical Team with our Support Service Workers being led by a motivated and passionate Hotel Services Manager. Our facility is a one unified community that extends across 4 single-level buildings surrounded by gardens for residents, families and staff to relax.
$35.31 per hour (casual rate) plus superannuation plus salary packaging available
This role involves but not limited to -
Kitchen/Dining:
- Assist with the preparation, assembly and delivery of resident melas, morning and afternoon teas and dinners.
- Ensure resident's preferences are noted and special dietary needs are provided
- Maintain the cleanliness in all kitchen and dining areas
Cleaning/Linen:
- Complete and maintain daily cleaning duties such as residents’ rooms and bathrooms, offices and common areas
- Collect and deliver residents personal laundry
- Conduct full clean of vacated rooms
About you
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Reliable & able to work across a 7-day roster - Must be available Monday to Friday as well as weekend shifts
