About the role
Mercy Community are on the search for an Enrolled Nurse to join our Residential Aged Care Facility based in Nudgee. We are looking for individuals' who can work the following night shifts:
Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Week 2: Friday
With the support of our Registered Nurses, as our Enrolled Nurse, you will be responsible for leading the team to provide the highest quality of care to all people by providing opportunity for those receiving care to live as independently as possible and function to their greatest potential whilst promoting autonomy and self-esteem. Our Nudgee Residential Aged Care Facility is guided by our fabulous and well experienced Facility Manager and Clinical Team. Nudgee is a one unified community that extends across 4 single-level buildings surrounded by gardens for residents, families and staff to relax.
$33.91 - $35.80 per hour (award) plus superannuation plus salary packaging available
This role involves but not limited to -
- Assist residents with medications where delegated, within scope of practice in the PROC Medication Management, and referral of all concerns and decisions relating to medication administration to the Registered Nurse
- Assessing and monitoring residents' physical and emotional well-being
- Observing vitals and reporting changes to Registered Nurse and/or supervisor
- Support the planning of the team for the shift by identifying prioritized activities and appropriate resources
- Plan daily to adapt to changing circumstances and support the team to develop preparedness and capacity to respond flexibly to agreed priorities
- Support the development of Care strategies and plans to enable the resident’s choices, priorities, and care needs to be clearly documented
- Listen, interpret and consult with others communicating proactively
About you:
- Registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience in leading a team and supervising staff
- Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, visa holder with no work restrictions
- Able to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster. Availability to work Monday to Friday across all shifts (including night shifts), is required
