About the Role
Mercy Community Family and Child Connect (FaCC) program has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate First Nations Family Response Facilitator to join our team. This is a Permanent, Full-time position, located in Townsville.
You will engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families within the Townsville region. This role involves delivering quality services to children, young people, families, and the community within the Family and Child Connect Service through assessment and recommendation culturally appropriate responses.
$85,126 per annum, starting base (SCHADS L4) plus superannuation plus salary packaging available
This role involves but not limited to -
- Assess information provided in a referral, engage with families with multiple and complex needs and provide information, advice, and referrals
- Engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families in our communities
- Collaborate to a positive team culture that values cultural diversity and equity
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- Bachelor (minimum) Degree in Child Protection, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Experience in strengths-based casework with complex families, alongside experience in identifying and addressing child protection concerns.
- Experience in assessing the needs of families and completing safety and risk assessments.
- Current and valid Queensland Provisional Green (P2) or above Driver Licence
- Current and valid Blue Card (Queensland Working With Children Check) or ability to apply
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain
