About the role
Mercy Community are taking Expressions of Interest for Personal Care Assistants to potentially join our Nudgee Residential Aged Care Facility in the future. As a Personal Care Assistant, bring your passion and drive to work with our elderly residents to the role. Our residents are the focus of us delivering a positive and supported environment with their daily living activities. Our Nudgee Residential Aged Care Facility is guided by our fabulous and well experienced Facility Manager and Clinical Team. Nudgee is a one unified community that extends across 4 single-level buildings surrounded by gardens for residents, families and staff to relax.
$32.36 per hour, plus superannuation plus salary packaging available
This role includes -
Assist residents to enjoy activities of daily living in accordance with resident care plans; including but not limited to:
- All aspects of personal hygiene (showering, continence, bedding and clothing)
- Ensure safe and appropriate use of slide sheets, hoists with a primary focus of resident comfort and safety
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness and comfort.
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
- Completed Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care or a similar qualification
- Previous experience is desirable
- Experience in a Dementia ward is highly regarded
- Ability to carry out written instructions, care plans and record progress notes
