About the role
Mercy Community Aged Care Services are on the search for a Maintenance Assistant (Causal) to join the team in Rockhampton. The pay level for this role is $27.56 per hour (casual rate).
The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for the regular and preventative maintenance of Facility buildings, plant and equipment and grounds as per the maintenance schedule. This role will be based with our Aged Care Facilities maintenance team supporting Leinster Place, Bethany and McAuley.
This role will include but not limited to:
- Carry out the regular and preventative maintenance program for facility buildings, plant and equipment as per the preventative maintenance schedule and adhoc maintenance requests
- Carry out annual room audits and room changeover audits and maintain up to date records.
- Carry out mattress delivery/replacement as required.
- Ensure that work requiring a trade qualification is undertaken by appropriately qualified external service providers.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to undertake non-trade qualified maintenance tasks and carry out regular and preventative maintenance on buildings, plant and equipment.
- Manual Queensland Provisional Green or above Drivers Licence.
