About the role

Mercy Community Aged Care Services have multiple opportunities (10+ positions) seeking passionate and engaging Personal Care Assistants to join our team on Permanent Part-Time basis, based at our Aged Care Facility – Leinster Place (Park Avenue) or Bethany/McAuley (The Range). We are looking to cover Morning and Afternoon shifts, Monday to Sunday. 

Our Personal Care Assistants are key team member’s to supporting our residents and our team. PCA’s support with assisting our residents through the guidance and supervision from our Registered Nurse’s, Enrolled Nurse’s or senior care team member. Our Aged Care Facilities are run 24 hours every day, to support our residents with their ongoing living needs. We treat each of our residents with Compassion, Dignity, Empathy, Integrity and Respect. 

We have exciting growth in 2025 with a new Facility opening in The Range. Each Facility is supported by an amazing team environment with an enthusiastic Training team to support your growth within Mercy Community Services. We are launching a dedicated PCA onboarding process to support you, through your journey with our team. 

$29.32 – $32.43 per hour (pending experience/qualification) + superannuation + access to generous salary packaging

This role entails but not limited to -

  • Maintaining a friendly home environment where residents are encouraged to engage in activities of their choice
  • Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of equipment, with an emphasis on resident comfort and safety
  • Assisting with all aspects of personal hygiene – showering, continence, bedding and clothing
  • Actively monitoring residents’ condition and report any changes in condition or behaviour to the Registered Nurse

About you

As the successful applicant, you will possess:

  • Studying or completed a Cert III or higher qualification related to Aged Care or Disability or similar qualification
  • Must be available to work Monday to Sunday. Shift times vary:
  • Morning: 0645-1445 or 0645-1500
  • Afternoon: 1500-2230 or 1500-2100 or 1600-2100
