About the role

Mercy Community Aged Care Services are on the search for a Registered Nurse (Permanent Part Time) role based in Nudgee. This role will also require the successful candidate to be able to work across all shifts including night shifts or for the successful candidate to do mainly night shifts. 

This position is responsibility for coordinating person-centred care to residents and supervision of staff across one or more clusters within the residential care facility. Working collaboratively within a professional team to provide excellent care and to improve the independence and quality of life of all residents.

This role entails but not limited to: 

  • Providing safe and competent clinical management and nursing interventions in accordance with recognised standards of practice & monitor and oversee staff practices to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care
  • Ensuring residents, their families and significant others are included in the care planning process and engaged in decisions affecting the resident
  • Coordinating and monitoring the planning, implementation and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards
  • Preparing ANACC documentation so that funding is optimised

 About you:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Experience in leading a team and supervising staff
  • Be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident, visa holder with no work restrictions 
  • Able to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day roster. Availability to work Monday to Friday across all shifts (including night shifts), is required.
