About the role
Mercy Community Disability Service is seeking an enthusiastic Team Leader on a full-time permanent role to lead a passionate team of Support Coordinators and Specialist Support Coordinators based in Brisbane (North side). Using your experience and knowledge to lead a diverse skilled team, through the developments with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and representing Mercy Community.
 
This position is responsible for working directly with NDIS participants, their families and carers, networks as well as leading a team of Support Coordinators and Specialist Support Coordinators. The role is paid at a Level 6 under the SCHADS award, which equates to $102,554.00 (per annum) + 11% Superannuation with the opportunity of ‘Salary Packaging’ being available to the successful candidate.
 
You will be able to provide the following supports to the team - 
  • Lead, engage and guide a team of Support Coordinators and Specialist Support Coordinators
  • Implement and support continuous improvement initiative tasks to maximise program growth, quality, outcomes, and customer experience
  • Support and advocate for participants in accordance with their NDIS plan and within the NDIS guidelines/framework
  • Complete case notes, reports and plan reviews within the NDIS framework/guidelines
  • Advocate and build partnerships with stakeholders and external provider
About you
To be successful in the role, you will possess:
  • Relevant qualifications within the Disability, Health or Community sector (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience and understanding of NDIS framework/guidelines (desirable but not essential)
  • Prior experience managing and supporting teams within the Disability, Health or Community sector (desirable but not essential)
  • Hold a current Queensland Working with Children Check (or willing to apply)
  • Hold a current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to apply)
  • Hold a current Queensland Drivers Licence and have your own vehicle (mandatory)
