Stella Maris is a 72-bed facility based in Cronulla with a commanding view of the Pacific Ocean in all its changing beauty. Established in 1964 Stella Maris is owned by the Sisters of Mercy, Parramatta and managed by Mercy Community Services. As a Care Service Employee, you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of Stella Maris.

 

$27.57 - $32.39 per hour plus penalties plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available depending on experience

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting residents in their daily activities, delivering the best possible care, ensuring wellbeing and comfort
  • Maintaining a friendly homelike environment where residents are encouraged to engage in activities of their choice
  • Ensuring the safe and appropriate use of equipment, with an emphasis on resident comfort and safety
  • All aspects of personal hygiene – showering, continence, bedding, and clothing
  • Observing, reporting, and responding to all changes in resident health and wellbeing including maintaining accurate, factual, and thorough progress notes

 

About you:

  • Certificate III in Individualised Support – Aged Care
  • High level of interpersonal, customer service and conflict resolution skills as well as flexibility
  • Able to work across a 7-day roster
